Becky’s School of Dance has been in business for 52 years and provides a variety of classes at all levels. Class schedules are available outside the dance room and are generally held Monday – Friday in the afternoons, evenings, and on Saturday mornings.

Dance By Denise
Dance by Denise provides a safe and secure environment offering dancers a variety of classes for ages 3+, beginning to advanced levels. DBD provides a positive, welcoming, fun and friendly atmosphere while providing age appropriate dance education to dancers as they improve their dance technique. Classes are held weekdays afternoon/evenings. DBD offers the following Seasons:

GROUP FITNESS CLASSES
• A pass is required for some classes
• All 11am classes are for Seniors or those that need a gentler workout. SilverSneakers Classic classes are available to all patrons.

• You must be 14 years & older or 12-13 years old with an adult to attend any Fitness Class.
• Turn off cell phone ringer during all classes. If you need to take a call, please respect others and take the call outside of the Aerobics or Fitness Rooms.

Boot Camp: An intense circuit style class going from sprints to push-ups in no time at all. You’ll never know what comes next.
Chair Yoga: Chair yoga is a form of yoga that utilizes a chair for seated and standing yoga poses. We will work on balance & coordination, stretching tight muscle groups, and core stability
Cyclicity: A group indoor cycling class that replicates the feel of the road and dirt. Sprints, climbs or hovers are part of your ride
Dance Fitness: This is a heart healthy cardio workout style choreography. This fun, high-energy Dance Fitness class is open to beginning exercisers, experienced dancers, and everyone in between. Get ready to hit the dance floor!
HIGH Fitness: A hardcore fun fitness class that incorporates interval training with music you love and intense easy to follow choreography. HIGH Fitness produces a high caloric burn and full body toning through its carefully formulated choreography that alternates between intense cardio peaks and toning tracks.
Kidz Zumba: Boys and girls 8-13 years of age will have a blast dancing to kid-friendly music and playing fitness games designed just for them. This 45-minute class will get them moving and grooving to a healthier lifestyle, while building confidence, improving coordination and memory skills.
Pedal & Pump: This class is the best of both worlds. Using cycling and weights in a circuit format gives you cardio and strength training all in one class. (Max participants 20)
Pilates: Pilates helps to improve alignment, breathing, and to increase efficiency of movement through core stabilization.
POUND®: Created by two female drummers, the POUND workout fuses cardio interval training with drumming to provide a challenging, heart pumping workout.
Pump Plus: This class will strengthen all of your muscles using free weights, bands, weighted bars, BOSU, various size fitness balls, TRX straps with some cardio mixed in.
SilverSneakers Classic®: Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is available if needed for seated or standing support. This class is designed for Seniors or those that need a gentler workout.
Strong Fit: This class is a 30/30 mix of cardio and weight training designed just for Seniors or those that need a gentler workout.
Strong Flow Yoga: Power yoga is a practice where postures or asanas are connected through movement and breath to create heat throughout the workout. This class builds endurance, flexibility, and strength. Modifications are given, when needed.
TRX: This is a form of suspension training that uses body weight exercises to develop strength, balance, flexibility, & core stability simultaneously.
Yoga: A concentration on balance of mind, body, breathing, strength, and flexibility.
Zumba: This is a fun high energy Latin dance class featuring moves such as Samba, Cha-Cha, Reggaton, Merengue & more.
Water Fitness Classes are included with membership or daily admission
WATER FITNESS CLASSES: You must be 14 yrs old to attend or 12 -13 years old if accompanied by an adult. We also recommend that you discuss your exercise program with your physician, especially if you are pregnant, recovering from surgery or injuries, or if you have a chronic illness.
Aqua Dance: Anyone can join Aqua Dance. No dance background necessary – just the willingness to move and have fun! Routines feature dynamic rhythms and easy-to-learn steps that will get you moving right away. In minutes you’ll be moving to the beat and having a blast! (Shallow and deep.)
Aqua Fit: This invigorating class uses the resistance of the water, with or without, equipment to give you an energizing workout. Becoming more fit was never so much fun!
Crazy for Cardio: This class challenges your cardio-respiratory system with a variety of equipment to create a wild and crazy, calorieblasting workout.
Easy Does It: This gentle 45 min. workout may help decrease joint pain & swelling as well as improve joint flexibility. Mild cardiorespiratory training & light strength building exercises make this the perfect class not only for those with arthritis, but for seniors & those just beginning a fitness program. For stability & safety, aquatic shoes are recommended but not required.

HIIT H20: – This hour-long interval training class will unleash your inner warrior! You can expect resistance training, brief cardio sprints followed by short breaks, and awesome music in every class. Equipment may be used, but is always optional.
Splashin’ & Dashin’: Start the day right with splashin’ in fun, while dashin’ into fitness. This fun class offers a full body workout including a variety of cardio, strengthening, and ab routines, in shallow and deep water.
Moms-To-Be – water fitness is a great way to prepare your body for child birth. Pick up a free pregnancy information sheet outside the water fitness office.

Kid’s Camp is for kids ages 5-10 years old. We have fun games and activities every day to keep them busy from 9 am-3 pm Monday-Friday. Games can include but not limited to dodgeball, kickball, swimming, ice skating, curling, crafts, food, and movies. Camp will begin June 2023

- Both pools provide 25 yard lanes (1 mile = 70 lengths or 35 “laps”).
- Some exceptions to this schedule apply during special events, inclement weather, etc.
Youth lap swimmers must be able to swim 50 yards of a strong stroke.
If 3 or more swimmers in a lane, circle swimming must be done.

Jin’s Martial Arts
Learn traditional martial arts: Kung fu, Muay Thai and Sanda Kickboxing along with self-defense and fitness.
We offer Kids classes and Adult classes beginning at ages 5 years old and up.

Elliott is an ACSM certified personal trainer with an associate’s degree from Salt Lake Community College as a fitness technician. His preparation as a fitness technician included working with student
athletes, seniors, and performing fitness assessments for the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office to help them achieve functional performance. Elliott has been involved with a variety of sports such as track, football, rugby, basketball, and competitive paintball. Every sport and lifestyle has a specific need for fitness and functional performance. He will work with you to design a fitness program to help you achieve your fitness goals and lifestyle goals.

I’m a retired Air Force veteran with more than 20 years of fitness experience. I began my successful fitness career while serving in the military as a Coopers Institute trained Personal Fitness Specialist. Upon my retirement I continued furthering my education through various fitness organizations earning certifications for personal training, group exercise, group cycling, and youth exercise. I have the knowledge and experience of designing workout programs specific toward your goals and abilities. I will help you develop the confidence necessary for you to feel comfortable in a gym setting so you can become the fittest YOU that YOU want to be. As your trainer I will guide you and inspire you on your fitness journey. I am currently certified through National Academy Sports Medicine (NASM), and current CPR/AED certification. In my leisure time I enjoy working out, spending time with my family, and traveling.

Coach Bo Fitness and Nutrition, LLC is certified through The International Sports Sciences Association as a Fitness Coach, Nutritionist, and Personal Trainer. His own personal experience in bodybuilding has given him extensive knowledge of training for muscle growth and fat loss. Having tried many different training methods throughout his time in the gym, he understands how to design programs specific to an individual client’s goals and preferences. He has a great understanding of nutrition, and how diet can impact both body composition and overall health. He loves working with clients that are interested in building muscle, losing fat, or just improving general fitness and health.

Adult Beg/Beg-Intermediate Pickleball Lessons
Are you a beginner to beg-intermediate pickleball player who wants to learn the proper skills and game play.? If so, this class is for you. Join Bruce while he teaches you the ins and outs of pickleball in a noncompetitive environment. Play will be Tuesday’s 5:30-7:00 pm in our gymnasium. Join our Pickleball Leagues every Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Leagues are based on skill levels and will be played in a Round Robin. Which means you do not need a partner because you will be playing with or against everyone in the skill level you signed up for. There is guaranteed play the whole two hours. Skill Divisions Expectation
2.5 – You are brand new to pickleball; you are not familiar with all the rules.
3.0 – You know the rules and can track your own score; you are working on hitting the ball consistently.
3.5 – You are able to hit the ball consistently; you are working on placing the ball based on pickleball strategy.
4.0 – You place the ball based on pickleball strategy; it is very hard to overpower you with a hard hit.
4.5+ – You have played in several tournaments and won many of them; pickleball lost “game” status a long time ago

This class is designed to work with children ages 3 and up who have special needs/disabilities. Our Adaptive Aquatic instructors are trained to lead participants through a range of water experiences that encourage independence in the water, socializing and specific swimming or exercise skills and routines. ADULT AQUATIC LESSONS
We offer 2 class times for Adult swim lesson classes are taught on Saturday mornings from 7:30-8:30am and 8:30-9:30am. Classes are (4) 1 hour lessons.
The Beginning Adult Class is designed to help those who have never had swim lessons, are afraid in or around water, or for those who would like to learn the basics. The Intermediate/Advanced Adult class is designed to build on the skills learned in the Beginning Adult Class, perfect strokes, or for those wanting more technique. To sign up for this class you must have attended the Beginning Adult Class or be able to swim 10 yards on your front and back as well as swim in deep water. Anyone 14 years of age or older may attend these classes. During the course of the session, please feel free to ask your instructor any questions you may have. Children’s swim lessons are held year-round. All levels will be offered but not at all time periods. Registration is held every 3 weeks (check schedule for exceptions). In all classes we must have at least 2 students to hold the class. Classes may be combined to accommodate the need to hold a class. You must register for lessons online using a credit or debit card. DIVE LESSONS (SUMMER ONLY):
Our diving classes are for anyone ages 5 and older (yes even adults). Student needs to be able to perform a standing dive from the side of the pool as well as go off the diving board and swim to the side without assistance. This class will be held in the Outdoor Dive Tank. Please be aware that there will be other classes/activities going on at the same time.

Our Water Babies Classes are for children ages 6 months to 36 months with an adult in the water. This class will provide you with the knowledge and skills to orient your child to the water and to safely supervise all water activities. This class is the beginning in a process of developing your child’s water and swimming skills. Lessons are held on Saturday mornings at 9:05 AM, 9:40 AM, 10:15 AM or 10:50 AM (4×30 minute lessons).

Jr. Marlins Pre-Comp Swim Team
Welcome to our Jr. Marlin Swim Team (Intro to competitive swimming).
Your child can expect to learn the basics of competitive swimming. They will refine the four strokes, work on starts and turns, and build strength and endurance. This program aims to provide a positive and fun learning environment as an introduction to competitive swimming and is an ideal stepping stone to KYAT.
Fees for Jr. Marlin groups are Per Winter Set Session: $40 for Members and $48 for Non-Members.
To register for this class students must be able to do the following:
Perform a shallow dive and swim 50 yards Freestyle, 50 yards Backstroke, a 25 Breastroke, and a 25 Butterfly.

KYAT is a year round swimming team for boys and girls ages 5-18. The team practices under the direction of certified coaches and competes in meets against other teams from across the state and region. Completion of Jr. Marlins is recommended, but we also accept tryouts by appointment only. Contact the team administrator at email@example.com to schedule a tryout.

Tennis is a lifetime sport for the whole family. The availability of 5 courts at our facility makes tennis an accessible and very affordable activity that promotes fitness, sportsmanship, and teamwork. Tennis Lessons
Group Clinics / Lessons
Members $34/General Patron $40. There are NO refunds or credits given after the second class of each lesson set. There will be no make-up classes except in the event of inclement weather.
Ages 11-18 Years: Beginner or Intermediate players, it doesn’t matter. We have lessons for all levels. These lessons will be a fun way for kids to learn new skills & discipline while being active. There will be games and activities that will challenge them and develop new skills or improve on current skills for the game. They will learn alongside new and old friends.
Age 10 & Under Tennis: Tennis sized right! Originally developed to bring kids into the game by utilizing specialized equipment (smaller racquets, different sized balls), shorter court dimensions and modified scoring tailored to age and size. 10 and Under Tennis is also ideal for individuals with disabilities or with differing abilities and circumstances. 10 and Under Tennis is divided into two different levels ages 8 and under and ages 10 and under though it can be used for kids and players of all ages. It’s the fast, fun way to get kids into tennis and to keep them playing for life!
Adult Lessons:In these lessons, adults of all levels can come and improve all aspects of their game from basic groundstrokes to serves and strategies. Learn and refine skills through practice, drills, games and other fun activities to help improve their game. This is a fun environment that will challenge you and help take your game to the next level!
Private & Semi-Private:Ready to move your game to the next level? Want to develop an extra edge before starting team play? Schedule an hour of personalized instruction to work on specific skills and game strategies.
Private lessons are just $50/lesson for Members or $60/lesson for General Patrons and Semi-Private lessons are $30/Members or $40/General Patrons.

TRACK @ OVAL
Running & Walking
Now members of KOPFC can use the indoor track at the Utah Olympic Oval as part of their membership. Runners/walkers can train on the 442 meter indoor track that surrounds the Oval speed skating ice. Featuring a Mondo Super X running track with 4 lanes plus an eight lane 110 sprint zone. The track has been marked according to NCAA and IFAA standards. The Oval is one of the only indoor track facilities in the state, providing year-round training capabilities in a climate-controlled temperature of 65F – 65F degrees.
Members wanting to use the track may go to the Guest Services check-in desk at the Oval and present their KOPFC membership card (you must show your card – they cannot look up your name if you don’t have your card with you) and register on the daily check in sheet. Once checked in, you are set to go and enjoy this new KOPFC membership benefit. WATER POLO LEAGUE
Registration now OPEN! The Kearns Summer Masters League will run Wednesday nights June 14 – August 9. Two divisions – Male and Female. Sign up individually with your friend requests. Teams will be put together and a game schedule will be produced for the season. The league is sanctioned by USA Water Polo and the focus is having fun and getting exercise.

This is a program for those looking to take their water polo to the next level. The team practices year round (split into four seasons) and competes against other clubs around the area and occasionally travels out of state for tournaments. New athletes can start anytime and need to be able to swim 4 laps and it’s usually necessary to complete Jr.Marlins.
The club has 100 to 150 athletes depending on the time of year. Currently the athletes range from 7 to 18 years old. Fee per season is $120 or $99 for KOPFC members. Our Splashball class is for any beginner that wants to learn how to play water polo. It’s designed for children 5-10 with limited swimming background and no water polo experience.
The class will focus on throwing, catching and swimming with a water polo ball, treading skills and basic offence and defense as well as competition rules.

- Classes held MW at 5:10 – 5:40 PM in the indoor Comp Pool

Fees for Splashball are Per Winter Set Session: $40 for Members and $48 for Non-Members.
Welcome to Jr. Polo! This class is designed for children 5-14 who have passed Splashball or Otter Level swim classes to fine tune their polo skills in preparation for Competitive league play.

Jr. Polo is held on Monday and Wednesday from 6:00-6:45pm in the Comp pool.

Weight & Cardio Room/ 14-15 Year Olds Orientation
These orientations are designed to give you the understanding of how to use the machines in the Weight & Cardio rooms. Instead of stumbling around, let our staff teach you the proper use of the those machines. You will leave this orientation with all the knowledge and confidence required to use the equipment in the Weight and Cardio Rooms. No personal workouts will be discussed during this orientation. For a complete personal workout, contact one of our Personal Trainers.

We offer intermediate volleyball Monday’s from 7:15-9:30 pm and Sunday’s 12:15-3:00 pm. Play is in an open play format but you must register to play. Ages are 15 and up. Cost is free to members and $25 for general patron. Everyone must get a wristband to play. To register, click on the link below
