Aquatic Rules
Welcome to our aquatic facility! To ensure the safety and well-being of all our patrons, we have established the following rules. These guidelines are designed to create a safe, enjoyable, and clean environment for everyone. We appreciate your cooperation in following these rules.
General Rules
- Please walk. (The ground can be slippery when wet).
- Children 6 and younger must be accompanied in the water by an adult within an arm’s length. They must wear a yellow wristband. Adults are not permitted to supervise more than three 6/U children at a time.
- Children 9 and younger must be actively supervised by an adult at all times.
- Children are only allowed in the pools during Open Plunge times (except if here for programs).
- Patrons are required to take a cleansing shower before entering a pool.
- Patrons leaving a pool to use a restroom must take a second cleansing shower before returning to the pool.
- Children under three years old, and those without control of defecation, must wear a swim diaper in addition to their swimsuit. Diaper changing must be done in the designated areas away from the pool deck.
- Patrons with any disease transmissible in water are not permitted to swim.
- Patrons who have or have had diarrhea in the past two weeks are not permitted to swim.
- Excessive “rough-housing” is not permitted.
- Diving is only allowed in designated areas.
- Glass is not allowed in the facility.
- Alcohol is not allowed in the facility.
- Smoking/vaping is not allowed in the facility or in the outdoor pool area (must go to the parking lot).
- Youth lap swimmers must be able to swim 50 yards/meters non-stop to be in a lap lane.
- Swimsuits must be worn in the pools. “Street clothes” are not permitted.
- Playing with sports balls (footballs, soccer balls, etc.) is not permitted in the pools except during programmed activities.
- Must be 8 years of age or older to jump off the diving boards. Must be at least 10 to jump off the platforms.
- Reverse dives (i.e., “gainers”) and inward dives are not permitted off of the platforms.
- One person at a time on the water slides. Patrons must wait at the bottom of the stairs until the person ahead enters the splashdown pool. Trains are not permitted. Must stay feet first sitting up or laying on back. Children under 48” tall must wear a life vest on the slide in Indoor Rec.
- Patrons must obey the instructions given by lifeguards and other staff.
- Other rules may be enforced for the safety and enjoyment of all patrons.
