Parties, Groups & Facility Rentals
KOPFC serves as an excellent location for your next special occasion party. We offer affordable rates and the ability for you to bring or cater your own food. Depending on the special needs of your event, arrangements can be made for hosting it during or after regular business hours.
If your Summer party isn’t at Kearns Oquirrh Park, then your group is missing out on a whole lot of fun at the best price in town! KOPFC serves as an excellent location for your next birthday, family, company or any occasion party. Groups of all sizes can be accommodated. We offer affordable rates and the ability for you to bring or cater your own food for your special occasion. Depending on the specific needs of your event, arrangements can be made for hosting it during or after regular business hours. Take advantage of Chomper’s Party Cove – our spacious outdoor pavilions are short distance from all the wet fun you can handle. Reserve for a couple of hours or for the entire day. To add to your fun, ask about our giant inflatable ride rentals which includes a dual 45 foot Challenger Obstacle Course, Water Wibit, 19ft Wipe Out Slide, Pirate Bounce House, Triple Threat Sports Arena, Sticky Wall or Bouncy Boxing. We also have staging, sound systems and many addition event accessories to impress everyone in your group. Pavilion rates are $6 per hour/ half pavilion & 12 per hour/ full pavilion with a 2 hour minimum reservation.
For your next birthday party or gathering, consider renting our pools after business hours. Pool rentals are great for people of all ages and abilities. Our pools have several different water depths, so there’s something for everybody! Need an Indoor Party Room for approximately 15 people? For only $10/hr you can reserve our air conditioned Chomper’s Party Den room adjacent to the indoor competition pool. Have a larger group? Then try our Dance Room for $30.00/hour – which accomodates up to 40 adults in lecture seating, classroom or banquet seating. Our Gymnasium is available during limited times & rates are – $20/hour – One basket, $80/hour – Half gymnasium, $175/hour – Full gymnasium (o -peak times), Gym is available for athletic use only – no social functions. Our magical Mermaid Party Experience will give any young child the opportunity to become a Mermaid! During the party, a trained mermaid instructor will teach how to put the tail on and off again along with some basic movements in the water, mermaid fun and games. There will be time during the party for self-exploration and games also, including diving for treasures at the bottom of the shallow pool.
What’s included in the Mermaid Party package?
– 1 hour private Mermaid swimming party in the pool
– Admission for 10 youth (ages 5-12 years old)
– Mermaid tail rental for each youth
– Party room rental for 2 hours
Party Format: 10 min. dress the little guest in their Mermaid Tails, 30 min. show the little mermaids how to swim with a Fin, and 20 min. play games and Mermaid challenges. Cost for all this is only $189.00. You can also add on other party items such as a Goodie Bag & Ice Cream Treat ($4/child), Beverages ($3 per 2 Liter Coke Products) and additional party room time ($10/hour). During the Summer season, Mermaid parties can be booked for Friday, Saturday & Sunday’s only. If you want to host an event outside, then our Park Pavilion is your prime location.
Located directly west of the Fitness Center, the Community Park is home to a spectacular pavilion with a covered picnic area, tables, and restroom facilities.
Throughout the months of May-October the pavilion may be reserved for your group for as little as $10 per hour with a 2 hour minimum.
(Up to 100ppl -$10/hr, 101- 200 ppl – $15/hr, 201-500 ppl – $25/hr)
Reservations must be made 72 hours in advance and must be made by speaking with the Group Sales Coordinator at 801.545.4109. It is recommended that for groups of 20 or more a reservation be made. If there is no reservation scheduled, pavilion use is on a first come first served basis.
We want you to be able to do everything you came here to do.
It’s ok to ask for help! No rushing around trying to find a last minute babysitter. At KOPFC, we want you to be able to do everything you came here to do. Our childcare services will allow you to get that workout in without having to worry about your little one. With our highly qualified staff you know your child is in good hands. Children up to 8 years old may be placed in our care for up to two (2) hours per day except between the hours of 8:30-11:00 AM. Due to high demand during those hours only one (1) hour will be allowed (2 hours only if space is available on that day).
Please ensure you call ahead and make a reservation if you plan to bring an infant (age 0-1).
A reservation is also needed for those age 2 and older if you plan to drop them off between 8:30-11:00 AM on weekdays.
Our child care services are available weekdays 8:30 AM – 1 PM and 4:30 PM – 8:00 PM (closed Friday evenings), and Saturday 8:30 AM – Noon. If you plan to leave your child in our care you must remain within our facility during that time. Below are our fee options which include hourly, 10 hour punch card, monthly (20 hour or 30 days), or monthly draft (please speak to our Childcare workers or our front counter for information on the monthly draft)

FITNESS ROOM ORIENTATION
Learn how to properly use fitness room equipment. Ages 14 and up.
FITNESS ROOM ORIENTATION
This orientation is designed to give you the understanding of how to use the equipment in the Fitness Room. Instead of stumbling around the machines, let one of our Personal Training staff teach you the proper use of the weight and cardiovascular machines. You will leave this orientation with all the knowledge and confidence required to use the equipment in the Fitness Room. This class is for ages 14 and up and lasts about 1 hour. Fee is $10. TRAINING & CERTIFICATION
Calling all future babysitters, lifeguards, and those that just want to learn first aid and CPR.
Calling all future babysitters, lifeguards, and those that just want to learn first aid and CPR. Our training and certifications courses are designed to give you the skills and knowledge you need to perform well when the time comes.
Babysitter Training (Year Round)
For those ages 11-15 looking to become responsible, qualified babysitters, this is the program you’ll want to take. Having this course under your belt will show any parent that you’re more than capable to care for their child. This 8 hour course teaches you basic childcare, first aid, safety issues, and injury prevention. This course is scheduled on a quarterly basis and requires a minimum of 4 people enrolled. The fee is $54 for non-KOPFC members, and $43 for current KOPFC members.
First Aid and CPR for the Professional / AED Blended Learning Class (Winter/Spring)
You never know when the time will come when you’ll be required to administer CPR or first aid. This class is designed in two parts: the first part requires completion of an online session, the second part is an on site skills session. The skills session is scheduled for the first month of each quarter on the first Friday and Saturday of that month. This certification is good for 2 years. Registration for this courses begins 2 weeks prior to each scheduled skills session. Students must register online 2 weeks prior to the class to receive the Blended learning online link. The online skills session is $27 payable to the American Red Cross. The fee for the skills session is $53 for non-members and $42 for current KOPFC members.
CPR/AED and First Aid Challenges (Year Round)
This course is for those looking to take their CPR and/or First Aid certification skills to the next level. In order to participate, you must currently hold a Red Cross CPR certification and/or First Aid certification. By passing a written test with a score of 80% or greater, followed by a practical skills test you will receive a Red Cross CPR/AED and/or First Aid Certification that is good for another 2 years. The challenges are scheduled for the first Wednesday of each month starting at 5:30 PM. Times may vary, check your scheduled time at registration. The fee is $46 for non-members and $37 for KOPFC members.
Lifeguard Training (Winter/Spring)
This class includes CPR/PR/AED training. Each class runs for approximately 45 hours. The minimum age for this class is 15 years old. Participant must a pre-screening test by the end of the class:
1. Swim 300 yards continuously demonstrating breath control and rhythmic breathing. Candidates may swim using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both but swimming on the back or side is not allowed. Swim goggles may be used.
2. Tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs. Candidates should place their hands under the armpits.
3. Complete a timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds.
– Starting in the water, swim 20 yards. The face may be in or out of the water. Swim goggles are not allowed.
– Surface dive, feet- rst or head- rst, to a depth of 7 to 10 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object.
Participants will also be required to pass all nal written and practical exams for CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
and First Aid; Lifeguarding/ Waterpark Lifeguarding Skills. As part of the requirements for receiving American Red Cross course completion certi cates, participants must pass each written exam with minimum score of 80 percent.
The fee for this class is $194.00 or $155.00 with current KOPFC membership.
Junior Lifeguard Training (Winter/Spring)
Junior Guard applications are accepted March 1st – April 30th, 2018. The training class will be held in May/June 2018. Participant must interview and pass a pre-screening swimming test to get into the class.
The Junior Lifeguarding program is designed to guide youth ages 10 –14 through the course by building a foundation of knowledge, attitudes and skills of future lifeguards. Class runs for approximately 12 hours, 100% attendance to scheduled classes and shadow time are required to complete the Junior Lifeguard program. Participants receive a shirt to wear during their shift and there will be an endo of season party.
The fee for this class is $68.00 general and $55.00 with a current KOPFC membership. Any questions please contact Ezra at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Junior Instructor Program (Future Swim Instructors) (Winter/Spring)
Junior Instructor applications are accepted March 1st – April 30th, 2018. Training class will be held in May/June 2018. Participant must interview and pass a pre-screening swim test to get into the class. The Junior Instructing program is designed to guide youth ages 10–13 through the course by building a foundation of knowledge, attitudes and skills of future swim instructors. Class runs for approximately 12 hours, 100% attendance to scheduled classes and volunteer time are required to complete the Junior Instructor program. Participants will receive a visor to wear during their shift and there will be an end of season party. Fee is $55.00 for KOPFC members and $68.00 for general public. CHOMPER’S GRILL & SNACK SHACK
There’s no need to leave KOPFC just because you’re a little hungry.
Chomper’s Grill is open during the SUMMER Season (June – August) Spend the whole day at KOPFC and don’t worry about packing a lunch or dinner! Chomper’s Grill offers hamburgers, hotdogs, pizza, nachos, pretzels, drinks, and several cool treats such as ice cream, and popsicles. Closer to the Splash & Outdoor Recreation pool you’ll find Chomper’s Snack Shack with bare necessities to quench your thirst or a quick snack in between meals.
SUMMER LUNCH PROGRAM
All that running around means hungry kids! We have you covered.
Summer is a busy time here at KOPFC. The kids are out of school and they all need a place to let off some steam and play. All that running around means hungry kids!
That’s why we offer our free summer lunch program for any child 18 years of age or younger, no registration needed. The lunches will be served from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at our Park Pavilion Monday – Monday beginning June 5 and ending August 4.
No lunches will be served on July 4th or July 24th, so please plan accordingly. This program is made possible due to federal grants, and the regulations of this grant do not allow adults to share a child’s lunch. We ask that you please follow this rule, and also ensure your child eats their lunch in the park.
For those older than 18 years of age, you may purchase a lunch for a small fee.
During these times we will be busy, please use extra caution when navigating the parking lot.
