Festival goers LOVE food, and Fire Water & Ice patrons are no different! We have a variety of food vendors in our food truck court & Chomper’s Grill areas all of which will be open throughout the day. One piece of advice – come hungry!
If you need to wet your whistle quickly, stop at the Coke pavilion for beverage of your choice.
Lost Kids & 1st Aid
Our Lost Child & First Aid room is meant for both lost children and people requiring medical attention. It is centrally located in the room in the building on the east side of the outdoor pools. If you have trouble finding this location please ask any festival staff or lifeguard.
This year we will introduce our No Child Lost (NCL) program. Upon entry into the festival, stop at the NCL tent where your child will receive a wristband for you to write your cell phone number on, and where you can take a photo of what your child is wearing at the festival. Should your child become lost simple go to the Lost Child/First Aid room or contact any nearby officer where you can show your child’s photo and the search will begin. Hopefully in no time at all your child will be back safe and sound with you to continue enjoying the festival activities.
The safety and security of our patrons is the most important issue for us. If you are separated from your child, our volunteers and police will communicate with each other until your child is found and you are reunited.
If you Lose an item? Head to Front Desk. If we have it and you can describe it correctly, you can have it back! Found an item? Take it to our Front Desk and turn it in. You’ll make someone’s day!
SAFETY AND SECURITY
The safety and security of our FWI patrons is the most important issue to us. The FWI Festival, the Unified Police Department, the Unified Fire Department, and KOPFC Security all participate in the safety and security of our patrons and make us the most prepared. Police officers are located throughout the festival grounds along with a command center located South East of the Olympic Oval plaza.
Our team of experts plans, reviews, and re-reviews all protocol with the authorities involved to ensure proper knowledge by everyone. The safety of our patrons is not an issue we take lightly. So put your mind at ease and come enjoy Fire Water & Ice!
